Founded in 1953 by brothers, Charlie and John Macdonald as a retail hardware location, Macdonald’s quickly grew to recognize and develop their furniture and appliance business. Each year John and Charlie would organize arena sales of their merchandise and saw the increasing need to specialize in the industry.
In 1979 they made the decision to build a new location to accommodate for their growing size. Now a business that involves the sons of both partners, Macdonald’s is a rapidly growing business that remains close to its roots and consistently gives back to the community that enabled it to become such a success.
