Fees: These are based on the 2009 ODHA Fee guide, are generally 30% more cost effective than the conventional dental office fees for dental hygiene services. This is especially great for those who don't have dental coverage.We accept all dental insurance benefits, CINOT, and ODSP.

Dental Hygiene Services:

Full dental hygiene services including comprehensive periodontal evaluation and new client assessments, treatment planning, scaling, root planing, polishing, fluoride treatments, sealants, nutritional counseling and oral hygiene instruction, dental referrals (orthodontics, periodontics, peadodontics, oral surgery, and restorative), in-office bleaching  and home-based bleaching kits.

Our Future services will include: anaesthetic, sports guards and eventually: X-rays, and prescriptions               (pending legislation)

Mobile Unit: 

Mobile unit - This unit can be transported to your location.  All of our dental equipment is portable and can be set up within 15 minutes within a location. This service is great for those in long term care facilities, hospitals and nursing homes.  We can take care of all of your dental hygiene needs when you are not able to make it to our clinic location.

Contract Work and Consulting:

We can offer our services on contract to Orthodontists, Dentists and Paedodontists looking for replacement/temporary day contract work for an hourly fee. The consultation service is for Dentists and can nurture your dental hygiene department back to health. The fees are a daily rate plus expenses.

Extra Features: 

The clinic is centrally located downtown with parking (wheel chair accessible) and there is a television and video player in operatory for educational enrichment and videos for the kids. We also have MP-3 player for patients to hear gentle soothing music (to ease anxiety), hot towels for after each appointment to refresh and aid in relaxation. We have resource material for clients borrow and take home.

The Story of Kelly-Ann Macknight the Dental Hygienist!

I love the community of Meaford and the Georgian triangle.  David and I moved here with our two children in 2004 after many years of vacationing here.  We finally decided to settle here because of the friendly atmosphere and the beautiful scenery and to get away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city.  We have made many wonderful friends here. Everyone has encouraged us and made our family feel welcome and at home. I would like to extend my thanks to my friends and family for their continued support.

I graduated from St. Clair College (Dental Hygiene) in 1994 and I am presently working on my Bachelor of Science in Dentistry (Dental Hygiene)at UBC.  I have worked in dentistry since 1986.  I presently do consulting work for dental offices in need of reorganizational help. I am on the board of directors at the Ontario Dental Hygienists Association elected by my peers for two terms.  From 2003-2006 I was the on the council at the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario, again elected by my peers to represent the public of Ontario's interests in this field. There, I held two chair positions on committees of Quality Assurance and Complaints and took part at the committee level in Disciplines and Fitness to Practice as well. I teach Dental Hygiene (Clinic) to dental hygiene students two days per week at Yorkville College in Toronto.  I have worked on contract for Sick Kids Hospital (Toronto) since 1998 in the Cranial Facial Center for Orthodontics and I have extensive experience with children with cranial facial anomalies, special needs clients and clients with various medical modalities.  I have worked in Pediatric Dentistry since 1994.  I have created infection control policy manuals for dental offices and worked extensively in Orthodontics offices.   I have an extensive list of references available on request. I hold an independent self-initiated dental hygiene certificate. This allows me to deliver dental hygiene services without the supervision of a dentist.  This type of clinic is new to the area.  I hope that I can greatly serve those who have had trouble accessing dental hygiene care for a variety of reasons. I look forward to serving the community of Meaford and the Georgian Triangle. I also look forward to hosting and organizing Dental and Dental Hygiene Continuing Education Seminars in the community.  Look for the upcoming events in the fall of 2009.
